In reply to <a href="https://www.theartofnewbeginnings.com/the-sun-always-shines-after-the-storm/#comment-492">Kathleen</a>.

Thank you, Kathleen!

What you wrote about your state of mind being reflected on how you navigate the storms, resonates with me. Storms render us vulnerable and it takes time and effort to make friends with our vulnerability. The more we practice the more we see that vulnerability is not to be kept behind locked doors or worn as a badge of honor. Our relationship with our own vulnerability often colors the way we respond to people showing theirs.

Thank you for sharing.

Here's to supportive friends who are there for sunny and stormy weather alike. 💖

What a wonderful idea to address the same issue from your youth! I love the line that you were too young to understand the nuances of storms. When I look back I see that my preparation for and experience of storms, both atmospheric and internal, reflect my state of mind at any particular juncture of my life. The older I get, the more I understand how true your words are. Having support and good friendships during those most threatening storms is what gets me through, most importantly in helping me see see that the sun does come out.
